A two-story house and two electric cars caught fire in Saugus early Thursday morning, and the cause of the fire was not immediately known.
L.A. County Fire Department personnel were dispatched at 2:59 a.m. to the 21000 block of Avenida De Sonrisa in Saugus, near the intersection of Bouquet Canyon Road and Urbandale Avenue, according to Keith Navarre, a public information officer with the Fire Department.
When they arrived at 3:06 a.m., they found the house was engulfed in smoke, with fire showing from the garage where the cars were parked.
The city of Santa Clarita’s Building and Safety Department and the Fire Department’s Health Hazardous Materials Division were both notified, Navarre said.
The call was closed at 7:28 a.m., four hours and 22 minutes after the fire was first reported. No injuries or transports were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to Navarre.
