Valencia High football has proven to be a well-rounded team this season, but a run game that boasts power and depth has consistently stood out.

The Vikings have had up to three options at running back in Moises Haynes, Jayvaun Wilson and Effie Davalos. That number, however, has recently dropped to two after Wilson suffered an undisclosed injury in Valencia’s last regular season game against Canyon.

Coach Larry Muir said Tuesday that Wilson will not play Friday and that there is no timetable for his return.

Valencia continues the Division 2 postseason at home Friday against Arroyo Grande.
