Valencia girls soccer defeats Saugus, extends win streak

Valencia High girls soccer extended its win streak to three on Friday night against Saugus, 2-0 at Valencia High School.

Angelina Maldonado and Catelyn Edwards each scored for the Vikings, who are now 10-5-2 overall and 3-0-1 in league.

It’s the fifth consecutive time Valencia has defeated Saugus, who is now 5-9-3 and 1-1-2 in league play.

The contest was the only girls soccer game that hadn’t been rescheduled due to weather conditions.
