A structure fire scorched a home on Blake Way, located off Sierra Highway in Canyon Country, just before 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

One home was threatened in the incident, LA County Fire officials confirmed.

LACFD units responding to an apartment fire on Jakes Way in Canyon Country, reported around 11:30 a.m., were diverted up Sierra Highway to the Blake IC fire.

Units from the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station responded to the scene.

“There were no injuries and nobody was hurt,” said Lt. Chuck Becerra of the SCV Station.

The LA County Fire Department has ordered cause investigators to the scene – which is regarded as common practice when the source of a blaze can not immediately be determined, officials said.

As of 1:15 p.m. there are no evacuations ordered and road closures have been lifted, Becerra said.
