Re: Gary Horton’s “The President Who Said Way Too Much,” April 17:
This commentary by Gary Horton is one more piece of proof that every tragedy around the world can be negatively linked to President Donald Trump. In this case it’s the Notre Dame Cathedral fire.
Trump merely issued a statement saying “perhaps flying water tankers could be used to put it out,” the operative word being “perhaps,” and the rest is a simple observational statement. Horton then proceeded to explain construction to us. No thanks. I’ll take Trump’s knowledge of construction on large structures over this critic’s any day of the week.
The ultimate humor and irony was on display in the 22nd out of 26 in another “I-hate-Trump” blather wherein Horton quotes his mother: “If you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say it.”
Self-explanatory.
