The Santa Clarita Valley Mayor’s Committee invites members of the community to its annual breakfast occurring from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at The Centre.

Job developers, staffing agencies and local residents who are interested in increasing employment opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities are especially encouraged to attend the event, which will take place at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway in Santa Clarita, according to the event website.

Job developers and attendees should expect to learn how to improve job and career development outcomes for individuals with disabilities, according to officials. The program will also discuss updates on current legislation, employer incentives and the overall societal benefits of competitive integrated employment.

Tickets can be purchased at tinyurl.com/Mayorsbreakfast, and guests are required to check in for registration, which begins at 7 a.m. Attendees may purchase a ticket the day of the event at the door as long as it is not sold out, according to the website.

Questions about the annual breakfast should be directed to event organizer Kathleen Secchi at [email protected].
