Lief Labs, a Valencia-based manufacturer of dietary supplements, has named Dr. Chioma Ikonte as chief science officer, a position in which she leads Lief’s innovation, product design, development, project management, quality & regulatory affairs.

Ikonte joins Lief with over 20 years of experience in nutritional supplements. Ikonte has a doctorate in pharmaceutical sciences from University of Southern California. Her position will be based in Lief’s Valencia headquarters.

“It’s a great pleasure to welcome Chioma to Lief as chief science officer and to our growing C-level leadership team of seasoned industry experts,” Adel Villalobos, CEO & founder of Lief, said in the release. “In planning for this new CSO role, we wanted a visionary leader with a strong nutritional background and a proven track record of driving scientific excellence and innovation, all of which Chioma embodies and more.”
