I’m writing to raise a serious concern about the Wiley Canyon housing project and to explain why it’s not just a matter of adding more homes, but about making sure our infrastructure is truly ready.
One glaring issue is that the project is moving forward without expanding the main road to the four lanes that our master plan requires. On top of that, the current plan includes three roundabouts within just a quarter-mile. This combination is likely to create a traffic bottleneck, making it harder for emergency services to respond quickly and for residents to commute safely.
It’s not just about the environmental impact — though that’s important, too — but about ensuring our infrastructure can handle the growth. We owe it to ourselves to demand that any new development is done right from the start, rather than leaving us with traffic headaches and safety concerns down the line.
Let’s make sure we follow the master plan and get the infrastructure right before we build. Thanks for listening.
