At its March 17 regular meeting, the Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency board of directors adopted a resolution to standardize the agency’s committee meeting dates to create a better flow of meetings and establish greater scheduling consistency across the organization, the agency announced in a news release.
SCV Water’s Committee meetings will now take place the same week as its board meetings, which are held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. Committee meeting times will remain unchanged. Any committee meetings impacted by industry events and holidays will be rescheduled as needed.
The change will take effect June 1, and will apply to the June committee meetings. The new schedule is as follows:
- SCV Water board of directors – Meets the first Tuesday of the month.
- Water Resources and Outreach Committee – Meets the Wednesday following the first board meeting of the month.
- Engineering and Operations Committee – Meets the Thursday following the first board meeting of the month.
- SCV Water board of directors – Meets the third Tuesday of the month.
- Finance and Administration Committee – Meets the Monday before the second board meeting of the month.
- Public Outreach and Legislation Committee – Meets every other month (January, March, May, July, September, November) on the Thursday following the second board meeting of the month.
SCV Water Board meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. in the Administration Building of the E.G. “Jerry” Gladbach Water Treatment Plant. All committee meetings are held at 1 p.m. in the same location and on the schedule outlined above.
