A call reporting a possible overdose at West Ranch High School was deemed unfounded soon after first responders arrived at the school Tuesday morning, according to the L.A. County Fire Department.

Fire Department spokesperson Edith Lai said firefighters received the call about a possible overdose at 11:19 a.m. and arrived at the scene at 11:27 a.m. The call was closed three minutes later, Lai said.

No one was injured and no one was transported from the school for medical care. Fire Department personnel and an ambulance were seen leaving the school minutes after arriving.

The false alarm at West Ranch is the third call about a possible overdose at a Santa Clarita school in the past month. First responders were called to La Mesa Junior High last week for a student who hadn’t overdosed but was suspected to have taken drugs, and another La Mesa student was administered Narcan the week previous.
