HMNH appoints Kelly Galbo as VP and chief nursing officer

Kelly Galbo has been appointed vice president and chief nursing officer of Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, the hospital announced in a news release. 

“Galbo brings extensive experience in nursing leadership, with a strong background in acute care operations, clinical excellence and patient-centered care,” the release said. 

In 2024, she was appointed executive director of operations – acute care services at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills. She previously served four years as executive director of nursing – acute care services at Holy Cross, following three years as director of nursing administration and earlier administrative management roles.    

“With her deep commitment to clinical quality and patient care, Kelly will help us deliver on our vision — to be the most patient-centric hospital anywhere,” Henry Mayo President and CEO Kevin A. Klockenga said in the release. 

Galbo’s academic background includes a doctor of nursing practice degree, a master of business administration degree in health care administration, and a master of science in nursing degree in leadership and management, the release said. 

Galbo joined Henry Mayo on May 4.
