Santa Clarita Christian football went on the road Friday night and knocked off Capistrano Valley Christian of San Juan Capistrano, 55-19, in a San Joaquin League showdown.
SCCS quarterback Tristan Miller completed 18-of-28 passes for 301 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions.
He also ran for a TD for the Cardinals, who had lost four straight years to the Eagles (2-5, 0-2) entering the night.
SCCS is now 2-0 in league and 3-4 overall after starting the year 0-4.
Cardinals receiver Jacob Moss caught 12 passes for 201 yards and four scores. He also intercepted two passes on defense.
His teammate Tyler Kalinske intercepted a pass and returned it 92 yards for a score. Kalinske also had 72 yards and a TD receiving.
