As I said at the Chiquita Canyon dump hearing, Los Angeles County has committed a boneheaded betrayal of the Santa Clarita Valley by failing to begin work on the dump program years ago.
The county has presented us with another great argument in favor of dividing it so it will no longer be the largest county in the world – larger than 60 percent of the sovereign nations.
