For over four and a half years now the Sunday Pro Blues Jam has built a reputation as one of the best blues jams around. You’ll find them at the American Legion Hall, 24527 Spruce Street in, Newhall (they share the venue with the SCV Blues Society ) and are there the first, third, and fourth Sunday of the month from 5 – 9 p.m. The houseband includes Val Real- guitar/ vocals, Mike Lipe- guitar/ vocals, Eddie Ray Smith, bass/ vocals, Steven Semola, keyboards/ vocals, Craig Williams saxes/ vocals and Eric Davis, drums. A smoking set of blues, rhythm and blues, funk, soul, and jazz is followed by three hours of jamming by the best local talent to be found. A $5 cover charge also buys you a drink. Pool table, full bar, dancing.
