Canyon High girls basketball gave the No. 1 seed in its bracket a run for its money. But the Cowboys fell, 53-47, to Orangewood Academy of Garden Grove on the road Saturday night in a CIF Division 2 state playoffs second round game.
The Cowboys end their season 22-11 after winning a share of the Foothill League title and making it to a CIF-Southern Section final for the second straight year.
