Any impact of losing in three games to West Ranch earlier in the week obviously didn’t linger.

Valencia High boys volleyball swept Saugus, 3-0, on Thursday night at home, 25-18, 25-21 and 25-20.

Juniors Andrew Johnson and David Chun led the Vikings with nine kills each.

Sophomore Dorian Ellis, a 6-foot-4 middle blocker, followed with eight kills, four of which came in the match-sealing third game.

Valencia is 7-12 overall and 2-1 in league.

After spring break, the Vikings will return to Foothill League play on April 12 at home against Golden Valley.

Saugus (7-7, 2-1), which opened league with 3-1 wins over Canyon and Golden Valley, will host Hart after the break.
