It is difficult to raise the ire of the public, especially when it comes to water. Some prefer to watch TV soap operas with convoluted romance or engross themselves in pseudo-social conspiracy on cable. In the real world of Santa Clarita, there is an ongoing attempt to take over our water supply and ultimately the public will say, “What happened?” It will then be too late. Consolidation of water agencies has been propagandized as a rewarding public entity. It won’t be. The newly created singular water board will be loaded with members bought by developers and will carry their vote. These developers will get their water, and the public will be rationed while paying higher fees. Please raise your voice before it is too late. Gene Uzawa Dorio, M.D. |
