SCCS 24, South Pasadena 14

The Santa Clarita Christian School Cardinals football team defeated the South Pasadena High Tigers by a score of 24-14 Friday night at South Pasadena.

The Tigers (1-1) were able to keep it competitive until a 64-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Blake Kirshner to wide receiver Blaike Orth gave the team a ten-point lead in the fourth quarter. The Blake-to-Blaike connection sealed the Cardinals (2-0).

Kirshner said of his team’s winning performance: “Started off slow, finished strong. South Pasadena is an extremely tough and physical football team and we played our tails off. I love our guys and wouldn’t want to do it with anybody else.”
