Come for the ribbon cutting ceremony, stay for the discounted drink specials and free samples.
Dunkin’ Donuts will celebrate the grand opening of its Valencia location on Wednesday with a 10 a.m. program that will include a ribbon cutting featuring Mayor Laurene Weste and other local dignitaries, photo opportunities with the brand’s mascot, Cuppy, and samples of various menu items.
The Wednesday festivities will also include a $1,000 donation by Dunkin’ Donuts to the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley, which, according to a news release, is part of the restaurant’s “commitment to support children’s well-being within the Santa Clarita Valley community.”
As part of its grand opening celebration, Dunkin’ Donuts will be running a special promotion throughout January, offering all medium beverages for $1.50 in an effort to entice locals to try its many versions of hot and cold coffees.
The Valencia location, at 26441 Bouquet Canyon Road, is owned and operated by Johnny Andersen and Jannita Gonzales of Good Treats, LLC, the same group that opened the chain’s Canyon Country location in August 2015. Good Treats also operates Dunkin’ Donuts locations in Atwater Village and Van Nuys.
“We’re thrilled to expand our service area to Valencia, and we hope to soon become a go-to destination for morning coffee, all-day breakfast, afternoon pick-me-ups and evening treats,” Andersen said in the release. “With this new opening, we look forward to providing even more residents in the Santa Clarita Valley with the fast and friendly service Dunkin’ Donuts is known for.”
The chain’s growth into the Santa Clarita Valley is part of a California expansion that launched in 2013, more than 10 years after Dunkin’ Donuts fully retreated from the Golden State, and has come to include hundreds of restaurants.
The Dunkin’ Donuts in Valencia will be open Monday-Thursday from 4 a.m.-11 p.m., Friday from 4 a.m.-midnight, Saturday from 5 a.m.-midnight and Sunday from 5 a.m.-11 p.m.
