We have a unique opportunity this upcoming Election Day to elect a dynamic and tireless advocate to our College of the Canyons board of trustees. I absolutely support and endorse Ann-Marie Bjorkman for Seat 5. I have known Ann-Marie for many years and have found her to be an extremely dedicated and effective leader and innovator in everything she does.
Ann-Marie has been bringing people together and bridging divides for more than 20 years through her volunteer leadership of the Boys and Girls Club and other nonprofit organizations and initiatives. She has been a selfless servant who has transformed lives and made the Santa Clarita Valley a better place.
As an alumna of College of the Canyons, Ann-Marie understands the important role our community college fulfills in providing everyone the opportunity to better themselves. She appreciates and values the role our community college plays as an asset to our business community, preparing students to become a part of Santa Clarita’s thriving workforce.
As a mother, she understands the importance of giving our children as many educational options as possible to gain the knowledge, skills and training that lead to successful careers.
Ann-Marie will not only advocate with our students’ futures in mind, she will also actually get things done by bringing people with divergent ideas together to achieve common goals that are in the best interest of our community. That’s what she has done for more than two decades, and that’s what she will do as a member of the college’s governing board.
Ann-Marie’s passion, vision and fight for what’s right are exactly what we need. She is the right candidate at precisely the right time.
