Two Hart alumni — Trent Irwin and Davis Coppenhaver — signed contracts as undrafted free agents with NFL teams following the 2019 NFL Draft.
Irwin signed with the Miami Dophins after a college career at Stanford as a receiver that featured 152 catches, 1,178 receiving yards and five touchdowns. After having at least one catch in 40 straight games, Irwin suffered a season-ending MCL injury in his senior campaign.
Coppenhaver, a tight end out of Duke, inked a deal with the Green Bay Packers. After steadily improving with each year in Durham, Coppenhaver had his best season as a senior with 14 receptions for seven touchdowns and 115 yards.
