Our Rep. Mike Garcia had a 1-foot putt to make to certify the 2020 election. Earlier in the day, a mob including white nationalists, Nazi sympathizers, anti-Semites and Confederate flag-carrying thugs stormed into our Capitol building, resulting in the deaths of five people.

As Garcia lined up his putt (to vote) he saw it breaking left. (Certifying results equals Democrat.) His caddy told him no, it was a simple straight putt. Hit it firm and straight into the middle of the cup. (Patriot). But no, Mike had promised President Donald Trump he would vote not to accept the vote of the people and Electoral College.

So Mike, in a cold political calculation, choked and pushed his putt right, hard right. The ball missed the hole by a foot. It rolled off the green and into the water around the green. Instead of following his caddy’s advice (Lincoln like) he took his own (politician).

Mike lost the tournament. He released a press statement saying he made the putt.
