No one is sure why the coyote crossed the road Wednesday morning in Valencia.
The newspaper was able to confirm the individual was not a subscriber, despite his visit outside The Signal’s offices on New Year’s Eve. Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Deputy Andre Rubalcava said Wednesday if anyone sees an animal and has concerns for the animal or its surroundings, they can call 661-260-4000, the station’s nonemergent line for service.
A deputy can guide them to the right agency, whether that’s the state’s Department of Fish and Wildlife or the L.A. County Department of Animal Care and Control, he said.
