Keane Miller named to Worcester Polytechnic Institute dean’s list
Worcester Polytechnic Institute has announced that Castaic resident Keane Miller, a member of the class of 2029 majoring in electrical and computer engineering, was named to the university’s dean’s list for academic excellence for the fall 2025 semester.
The criteria for the WPI Dean’s List differ from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average. Instead, WPI students are named to the dean’s list based on the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and hands-on projects.
Worcester Polytechnic Institute, in Massachusetts, is a top-tier, STEM-focused (science, technology, engineering and math) university with an R1 research classification. Founded in 1865, WPI’s approach integrates classroom theory with real-world practice. WPI has more than 70 bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programs across 18 academic departments and over 50 global project centers.
Baranda, of Valencia, named to Clark University’s dean’s list
Jeremy S. Baranda, of Valencia, was named to second honors on the Clark University dean’s list. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the fall 2025 semester.
Students must have a GPA of 3.8 or above for first honors or a GPA between 3.50 and 3.79 for second honors.
Founded in 1887, Clark University is a liberal arts-based research university in Massachusetts, offering 33 undergraduate majors and more than 30 advanced degree programs.
Kyle Rosenfeld named to Ursinus College’s provost’s list
Kyle Rosenfeld, of Valencia, has been named to Ursinus College’s fall 2025 provost’s list in recognition of academic excellence.
Rosenfeld is among 692 students who have achieved this honor.
This honor recognizes full-time students who have achieved a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Ursinus College integrates academics with hands-on, real-world learning, and career preparation through a learning ecosystem called APEX. The college is nestled on a tree-lined 170-acre campus 25 miles from Philadelphia.
Dean’s, president’s list students named for UA fall 2025 term
A total of 15,388 students enrolled during fall semester 2025 at The University of Alabama were named to the dean’s list with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the president’s list with an academic record of 4.0 (all A’s).
Local students earning academic honors include:
• Brooke Davis, of Castaic, was named to the president’s list.
• Kyla Mowry, of Newhall, was named to the dean’s list.
• Daniel Douglas, of Valencia, was named to the dean’s list.
• Kirsten Troedel, of Valencia, was named to the dean’s list.
• Sydney Zancanaro, of Valencia, was named to the dean’s list.
