Improv is back at the Canyon Theatre Guild: Leapfrog Improv plays one night only on Friday at 8 p.m.
Leapfrog Improv is an improvisational comedy group in which a troupe of talented improv comedians take suggestions from the audience and create comedy sketches and narratives right on the spot, said a news release from the nonprofit CTG.
“No script. No safety net. No problem,” is the group’s motto. “Enjoy a hysterical show, a free preshow wine and champagne reception for ticketholders, and a raffle for free tickets to a mainstage production. Leap into laughter,” the release said.
Master of ceremonies Ted Tobin said of the show, “I’ve always said I’d rather make it up than look it up. Kidding. I just made that up. Improv comedy is all the thrill of live theater — minus the annoying line memorization. Join the lightning-fast, laugh-heavy Leapfrog troupe for a night of comedy that’s never been seen … and will never be seen again.”
