iLEAD Agua Dulce is hosting its annual Jamboree taking place on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m., and the community is invited to the school campus for an evening of innovation, student-led business ventures and family fun, the tuition-free iLEAD charter school announced in a news release.
In alignment with this year’s theme, “Create Your Masterpiece,” the event invites visitors to step onto campus and see how iLEAD Agua Dulce learners have turned their academic journey into a work of art. From the initial spark of an idea to the final product, the Jamboree celebrates the hard work and creative vision that define project-based learning at iLEAD Agua Dulce.
The event features a Maker Faire, 2nd Grade Bazaar and Jr. High Entrepreneur Booths, shining a spotlight on the design thinking process and entrepreneurial spirit of education. Many learners have created amazing items and professional business projects in the school’s Makery and Exploratorium, and the event is an opportunity to nurture their ingenuity with guidance, mentorship and community support, the release said.
“Our Jamboree is a celebration of our learners’ hard work and entrepreneurial spirit,” School Director Wendy Maxwell said in the release. “It’s a wonderful opportunity for the community to see firsthand the incredible things our kids are capable of when they are given the tools to innovate.”
In addition to the student markets, the event will feature live performances by students, a silent auction, food, games and activities.
The iLEAD Agua Dulce Campus is located at 11311 Frascati St., Agua Dulce. Admission to the Jamboree is free.
