A 39-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of felony-level domestic violence after an altercation with her boyfriend early Wednesday morning, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies.
According to an email from the SCV Sheriff’s Station’s spokesperson Shirley Miller, at around 1 a.m., deputies were called to an apartment complex in the 18200 block of Sierra Highway in Canyon Country.
Deputies found that the suspect had gotten into an argument over text with a man she had been dating, and the suspect “allegedly punched the victim several times,” Miller wrote in the emailed statement.
It was unclear from the statement what the argument was about or the extent of the man’s injuries.
The man declined medical treatment, and the 39-year-old was arrested and booked at the SCV Sheriff’s Station jail. She was bonded out the same day.
