A film noir classic comes to Buzz Classic Movies on Saturday night with a streaming presentation of “The Man Who Cheated Himself,” starring Jane Wyatt and Lee J. Cobb.

The 1950 film has earned a 100% critics score based on eight reviews and a 53% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes’ “Popcornmeter” based on more than 250 ratings.

“A woman (Jane Wyatt) in the process of divorce shoots her husband and gets her police lieutenant boyfriend (Lee J. Cobb) to help hide the body,” says the Rotten Tomatoes summary of the movie.

“Director Felix Feist, a noir veteran, directs this independently made film noir shot on location in San Francisco with brisk efficiency, moving it along its paces and taking the camera out of the studio and into the city,” critic Sean Axmaker wrote for Stream on Demand.

“The Man Who Cheated Himself” streams at 8 p.m. Saturday on The Signal’s streaming channel, The Buzz, available at buzzscv.com as well as streaming platforms including Roku and Apple TV.
