News release
The Santa Clarita Public Library invites teens to get their game on at this year’s annual Teen FanFest on Friday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Santa Clarita Public Library Canyon Country Jo Anne Darcy Branch (18601 Soledad Canyon Road).
For one afternoon, nearly every corner of the library will transform into a gaming zone filled with hands-on activities, live performances and plenty of friendly competition, said a news release from the city.
A 49-foot gaming truck will take over the parking lot, giving teens the chance to jump into a variety of games and put their skills to the test. Inside the Teen Area, attendees can challenge their friends to Super Smash Bros., create Minecraft-inspired Perler bead art or design their own custom buttons.
The games continue in the Children’s Area with classic board games, Giant Jenga and Giant Connect Four, along with face painting. Teens can also stop by the Community Room for live performances from the Golden Valley Theatre Troupe and Music Lab.
After working up an appetite from all the gaming, creating and competing, attendees can head out to the patio to grab refreshments and hang out with friends.
