Coastal painter Jem Atwater to headline May SCAA meeting 

News release  Ventura County painter Jem Atwater will take center stage at the May 18 monthly meeting of the Santa Clarita Artists Association at the Newhall Library. The evening demonstration is free and open to the public.  A classically trained oil painter, Atwater earned her bachelor’s in fine arts from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco before relocating to Ventura, where she has become a cornerstone of the regional arts community, said a news release from SCAA.
