The Santa Clarita Business Incubator is hosting Innovate Santa Clarita, a series of events in partnership with Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation, the Small Business Development Center, and College of the Canyons, to highlight entrepreneurship and innovation.
Engage SCV hosts Startup Pitch Day, a networking and educational event designed to help entrepreneurs deliver a superior elevator pitch. The event takes place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, at the Old Town Newhall Library, 24500 Main St. To sign up, visit Engage SCV’s Meetup page.
The following day, Thursday, Oct. 13, the Small Business Development Center plays host to a discussion with Larry Twersky, CEO of TimerCap LLC, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Santa Clarita Business Incubator, 22704 9th St. Twersky founded multiple tech startups, and he played a role in developing 1-800-DENTIST. His company, TimerCap, makes a patented “smart” prescription cap that tells a patient how long it’s been since the last medicine dose was taken. Sign up at the California SBDC website.
