Trinity Classical Academy’s losing streak hit three games Friday night in Carpinteria.
The Carpinteria High Warriors beat the Knights, 40-24, to drop Trinity to 3-4 on the season.
Trinity quarterback Tyler Lee threw three touchdown passes, two to Koby Shafer and one to Caden Kulp, who also returned a kickoff for a touchdown.
“We couldn’t finish,” said coach Les Robinson. “We fought them tooth and nail until the last five minutes.”
The Knights will open Prep League play next week against Rio Hondo Prep of Arcadia. The game is at College of the Canyons.
“We have to get up for next week’s challenge,” Robinson said.
The Knights forfeited last week’s game against McAuliffe of Lancaster in order to be better rested for league play.
