I have attached a photo of my house showing my support for the Democratic candidate Katie Hill and our American flag. Being a true American means caring about democracy and the importance of checks and balances.

Editor’s note: Let the record reflect that Ms. Gertsch did, in fact, include a photo of her home with the stars and stripes flying out front, right above a Katie Hill campaign sign. However, we have opted not to publish the photo here. For some weird reason, we get the feeling that starting to publish pictures of people’s houses on the opinion page could put us on the edge of a slippery slope. It is a very lovely home, though.
