Coffee and tea lovers now have more options to indulge in hand-crafted products as a new location has opened in Valencia for one of the leading global roasters of specialty coffees and teas.

On Wednesday, executives of the chain and local business leaders gathered for a grand opening event of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, at 27634 The Old Road.

Those in attendance included members of the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce, such as Cheryl Ramirez, John Gardner on behalf of Santa Clarita Mayor Laurene Weste, and representatives from the offices of Sen. Scott Wilk, R-Santa Clarita, Assemblyman Dante Acosta, R-Santa Clarita, and Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger.

Attendees had the opportunity to participate in surprise giveaways and special promotions in celebration of the new store.

The new Valencia shop is the third location and the second with a drive-through feature in the SCV.

The property was previously occupied by a Marie Callender’s Restaurant and Bakery.

The new location offers abundant indoor and outdoor seating, free parking and wifi. The store also provides mobile ordering through its The Coffee Bean Rewards app, according to spokeswoman Jill Fox.

Store hours are Sunday through Thursday, 4:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday through Saturday, 4:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
