Two of the three Santa Clarita Valley chapters of the Gold Coast Youth Football League took home a championship at the Gold Coast Youth Football League National Conference Championships Super Bowl XVII at SoFi Stadium on Nov. 10.  

For the senior division national championships, the Santa Clarita Wildcats senior gold remained undefeated the entire season with their 48-42 victory against the Saugus Spartans senior navy.  

“It was an amazing game. Two seconds on the clock, and we win with a touchdown,” Santa Clarita Wildcats team manager Sandra Harrington said in a text. 

Although the Saugus Spartans did not win the senior national championships, the Spartans junior navy took home the 28-18 win against the Simi Valley Bulldogs junior black for the junior national championships. The Saugus Spartans junior navy ended this season undefeated. 

“Bittersweet night for the Spartans. We are proud of the junior navy performance tonight in Super Bowl XVIII,” stated a post from the Saugus Spartans Instagram page.  

The Santa Clarita Grizzlies mighty mites lost in a close game to the North Valley Bears mighty mites 22-24. This was the only loss for the Santa Clarita Grizzlies mighty mites this season.
