The “Finish the Ride and Finish the Run” event, scheduled Oct. 26, aims to help raise awareness of the need for safer streets for cyclists, drivers and pedestrians in Southern California.
The event is open to all who wish to participate, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 26 at West Creek Park, 24247 Village Circle Drive, Valencia.
There will be multiple ride options for participants, including a 12‑mile family fun ride/roll, a 25‑mile tour de river ride, and a 62‑mile metric century.
Costumes are encouraged and there will be a contest for the best costumes. There will also be refreshments and food vendors for participants as well.
Children under 14 must be accompanied by parent/guardian. There is also an age minimum for certain events. The 12‑mile ride age minimum is 5, the 25‑mile age minimum is 8, and the 62‑mile age minimum is 15 years old. The runs also have an age minimum.

The event schedule is as follows:
• 6 a.m. – Check‑in opens.
• 7 a.m. – Metric Century ride starts.
• 8 a.m. – Opening ceremony with special guest speakers.
• 8:15 a.m. – 12‑Mile Fun Ride/Roll & 25‑Mile Tour de River Ride begin.
• 8:30 a.m. – 5K & 10K Run/Walk begin.
• 9 a.m. – Expo area opens; raffle drawings throughout the morning.
• 9:30 a.m. – 1K Kids & Puppy Runs begin.
• 2 p.m. – Expo closes.
