This is in response to Jim De Bree (letters, Dec. 4). Was the assassination of Osama bin Laden murder? Was it a criminal act? Was it a war crime? Also, did we violate the sovereignty of Pakistan by not asking permission to have our armed forces enter their country to kill someone? This matter is still being debated nearly 15 years after the fact, and yet former President Barack Obama was praised for the deed when it was announced and it was never questioned or investigated. Fascinating.
Are Americans guilty of moral relativism? I think we are. Are politicians moral relativists? They have to be. Is this particular “joke” part of a much bigger joke? Absolutely. Can Democrats keep this up for three more years? Time will tell.
