The world has two inexhaustible sources of energy. They can relieve the Earth of fossil fuels that are now contaminating it. They are solar energy from the sun and geothermal energy right beneath our feet. Both can become trillion-dollar industries if only our government would encourage their further development.

Billionaires, especially those protecting their considerable investments in oil, are reluctant to shut down fossil fuels, fearing they will lose their profit stream. Meanwhile, Mother Earth is letting us know that she is not well with all the pollution fossil fuels emit. She is having a fever. Her temperature keeps rising, and she, along with we her children, may die if she doesn’t get help soon.

The time for clearer minds to step in and lead the world to a more sustainable Earth is now. The urgency for climate action cannot be underestimated.
