Regarding the article published on Thursday, Jan. 8, about the Bouquet Canyon development:

All of us, residents, in the upper Saugus area that will be impacted by the closure and demolition of the Bouquet Canyon creek bridge while the new road is being built, will suffer considerable disruptions, traffic delays, closed/K-railed-off streets, limited access to our local community businesses, etc., are being treated like steerage class on board the Titanic.

Santa Clarita assistant engineer Joel Bareng is at the helm and John Musella, a spokesman for Lennar, is in the crow’s nest.

They know the problem. They have heard — but not listened — to our concerns, and we the passengers from Bouquet Canyon and David Way, along the Copper Hill corridor, left onto Haskell Canyon Road, right on Bouquet Canyon again and choked (or in the Titanic’s case, drowned) all the way to Seco Canyon Road.

The Titanic sank in 2 hours, 40 minutes. We will be on board the Lennar vessel for no less than 11 months.
