When Nancy Pelosi entered Congress in 1987, her stock portfolio was worth $610,000 to $785,000, a nice chunk of change. She is retiring at the end of next year, thank God. She ripped up her copy of President Donald Trump’s State of the Union speech in 2021 and afterward said she felt “liberated.” Class act.

When she retires, her stock portfolio will be worth $133.7 million, give or take a few million. That is a whopping, unheard-of 16,930% return on investment. Is she the savviest investor in the history of Wall Street? Or did her advance knowledge of government dealings with certain industries and corporations give her an inside advantage? Commonly known as insider trading, it is both unethical and illegal. Did Nancy turn over her inside information to Paul, her husband, so he could make the actual investments, thus absolving her of any wrongdoing?

Do you think Nancy will be investigated during her final year of corrupt governance? Or do you think she will be allowed to fade away into the vineyards of Napa, where she will need a fairly big calculator to add up her ill-gotten gains?

One more thing. The yearly salary of a member of the U.S. House of Representatives is $174,000.
