Re: Commentary, July 11: I found Gary Horton’s Bad Bunny treatise on victimhood sad, boring and so predictable.
You say 130 million people stayed put for Bad Bunny. No, Gary. One million people stayed put while 129 million used the Super Bowl halftime to get more food, refresh their drinks, converse about the top plays in the first half, and do ANYTHING but watch Bad Bunny. Meanwhile, 6 million people watching the same game took the initiative to find and watch a truly patriotic and uplifting show sponsored by Turning Point USA. Yes, the same group who held prayer vigils when their leader, Charlie Kirk, was assassinated while anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement lunatics in Minneapolis, Portland and Los Angeles were rioting. At least the 6 million could understand the lyrics in the music.
After the Grammys, an anti-ICE lovefest for your insane left-wing friends, I’m surprised you are still living in the (Santa Clarita Valley). Surely your home is sitting on stolen land. But maybe there is a solution to that.
I recommend that if there is a tech-savvy person out there who shares my feelings, he or she could set up a GoFundMe account to buy Gary a one-way ticket to the Latin American country of his choice. There he wouldn’t have to be so concerned about racism, stolen land, the oppressive American flag, MAGA, or ICE breaking into his home and kidnapping him.
I’ve heard of all kinds of GoFundMe causes. This one will have my donation.
