In re: “The other ‘L Word’” by Lois Eisenberg, letters, Jan. 29.

I wonder if Ms. Eisenberg realizes that virtually  all of the issues she listed and is obviously in favor of were passed and enforced through the processes established by our federal government and Constitution that she and her “liberal” friends now want to ignore and defy because they don’t happen to like the current elected president of these United States. Sounds sort of like the Democrat-run Southern states in the 1800s regarding slavery when they chose to ignore federal law.

Do a search online: “President Obama on deporting people in the country illegally,” and see for yourself how people of the same political leaning as Ms. Eisenberg applauded him. Our assembled Congress even gave him a very long standing ovation when he announced what his administration was doing concerning people who were in the country “illegally” and had no right to be here. And also do a search to see how many illegal aliens died in custody during his two terms as president.

Several other “L-Worders” in the Democrat party even went so far as to use pictures of detention centers for illegals in custody that they described as horrendous and cruel … but failed to mention that the pictures were of detention facilities under the Obama administration, NOT the Trump administration!

As I have stated in other letters here, we all need to improve and work on our consistency of thought and action if we want to be better citizens of this wonderful country that we are fortunate enough to live in.
