I watched the State of the Union and my predominant emotion was shock.
Regardless of who sits in the Oval Office, you show up to work.
You stand for the mother of a murdered woman.
You stand for American athletes who wore our flag and who brought home a gold medal.
You stand for protecting American citizens over illegal invaders and you stand against medicalizing kids in secret without parents’ consent.
And you sure as hell stand for a wounded soldier receiving the Medal of Honor.
This is not partisan and this is not policy. It’s basic common sense and values.
I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised — these same people failed to stand last year at a joint address to Congress to recognize 13-year-old “DJ Daniel” who is fighting brain cancer.
If you are a member of the Democratic “resist at all cost” party and if your entire political identity is “orange man bad,” you have some serious introspection to do.
I don’t know how anyone could associate themselves with the Democratic Party moving forward.
What an embarrassment.
