Spectrum announced Desert Haven Enterprises Inc. has received an additional $30,000 toward its workforce development program through Spectrum Community Center Assist, the company’s philanthropic initiative to revitalize local community centers and invest in job training programs in underserved rural and urban neighborhoods, the company said in a news release.

This is the fourth SCCA Grant from Spectrum awarded to Desert Haven, bringing the total support to $170,000. The funding will continue to support Desert Haven’s job skills training programs, the release said.

Since 1954, Desert Haven has been dedicated to developing, enhancing and promoting the capabilities of persons with developmental disabilities through services that include job training, independent living and community skills training, community-based employment and more in the Antelope Valley and Santa Clarita Valley, the release said.

“Our primary focus at Desert Haven Enterprises continues to be equipping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities with the skills, knowledge and experience they need to be independent, fully integrated participants within and contributors to their local community,” Jenni Moran, Desert Haven Enterprises executive director, said in the release.
