News release
Get ready to celebrate those “Summer Nights” and remember “We Go Together” as Castaic High School Theatre presents “Grease: School Edition,” by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, the high school drama group announced in a news release.
“This iconic show features all your favorite songs from the original musical and movie adaptation as we follow our favorite gang of 1950s rebels through their senior year of high school,” the release said. “Will they find true love, will Greased Lightnin’ ever run, what do you do when your date leaves you at the drive in?”
The show opens 6 p.m. Thursday, March 26 at the Castaic High Performing Arts Center at 31575 Valley Creek Road. Additional performances are 6 p.m. Friday, March 27, and 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday, March 28. Tickets are $12 and available at www.onthestage.tickets/show/castaic-high-school-theater, or at the door.
Whether you’re a Greaser, too pure to be pink or somewhere in between – Castaic High School Theatre invites you to wear your favorite 1950s look at the show.
“The Castaic theater students have worked extremely hard to bring this high-energy and beloved musical to life,” Heather Moss-Layman, theater teacher at Castaic High School and director of the musical, said in the release. “We look forward to showing the audience just how much fun we’ve been having and bring them in on the fun with our costume contest.”
