News release

Met Gala SCV, the Santa Clarita Valley’s fundraising gala benefiting metastatic breast cancer research, is scheduled to be held Saturday, March 14, at Blomgren Ranch.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for cocktail hour and dinner service begins at 6:30 p.m. The evening will feature live and silent auctions, mission moments honoring those affected by MBC, and sponsor recognition throughout the night.

Metastatic breast cancer — cancer that has spread beyond the breast to vital organs — claims an average of 115 lives every day in the United States, according to a news release from the Met Gala organizers. Fewer than one-third of MBC patients survive beyond five years.

All funds raised at the gala directly support Cancer Culture, a patient-led nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating breakthroughs in MBC research and amplifying the voices of those living with the disease, the release said.

Guests are invited to embrace the evening’s signature dress code: “Victorian Whimsy with Steampunk Spark” — a celebration where Bridgerton-era elegance meets the bold, resilient spirit of MBC thrivers, the release said.
