Old West Chapter, Order of DeMolay visited the SCV Food Pantry on March 4 to deliver over $140 in donations, according to a news release from the group.

The members of this youth group see homelessness and food insecurity every day on the streets of Santa Clarita on their way to school, activities and work, the release said.

Donations were raised from serving dinner at their Masonic Lodge and having a “food drive” night.

“We are so grateful to Old West DeMolay chapter’s support of the SCV Food Pantry, and of our mission to provide food to all residents in our community,” Andrew Taban, president of the food pantry board, said in the release.

Old West DeMolay is a chapter of a worldwide organization of young men ages 12-21.  DeMolay is committed to developing and inspiring leadership – both in character as well as in action – team building, and networking for young men. For more information, go to scjdemolay.org.
