Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital and AFC Urgent Care clinics announced a new partnership with locations in Valencia and Canyon Country.
“This partnership reflects a shared commitment to improving access to high-quality, convenient health care for residents of the Santa Clarita Valley,” said a news release from HMNH.
The AFC Urgent Care centers have long served local families with walk-in care for a wide range of medical needs, including minor injuries, illnesses and preventive services. Through this new partnership, HMNH and the AFC Urgent Care will work together to enhance coordination of care, strengthen clinical resources, and expand access to services across the community, the release said.
“Our goal is to ensure that Santa Clarita residents have timely access to high-quality care close to home,” Kevin Klockenga, president and CEO of HMNH, said in the release. “By partnering with these trusted urgent care providers, we are strengthening the continuum of care for our community while maintaining the convenience and accessibility patients expect from urgent care.”
The release said the partnership will allow the organizations to collaborate on several initiatives, including:
• Improving coordination between urgent care providers and hospital services.
• Expanding access to same-day care for non-emergency medical needs.
• Strengthening care navigation for patients who require additional specialty or hospital services.
• Supporting the continued growth of high-quality health care services in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Patients will continue receiving care from the same providers and clinical teams they know at AFC locations today, the release said. The urgent care centers will remain focused on delivering fast, convenient walk-in services, while also benefiting from stronger collaboration with HMNH’s broader health care network, the release said.
“This partnership allows us to continue providing compassionate, convenient walk-in care to our community, while working more closely with Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital to support patients who need additional services,” Curt and Lupe Hafner, owners of AFC Urgent Care centers in Santa Clarita, said in a prepared statement included in the release.
HMNH also operates Henry Mayo Newhall Urgent Care, located on the hospital campus. The hospital has served the Santa Clarita Valley for more than 50 years.
Residents seeking urgent care services can continue visiting the AFC Valencia and Canyon Country locations for walk-in care seven days a week.
