Thank you to the city of Santa Clarita for another outstanding Cowboy Festival. This year, the highlight for me (besides the peach cobbler) was Nashville singer-songwriter, Dani Rose. Rose has written and performed songs for the streaming shows “Landman” and “Yellowstone,” which tells me she’s a rising star.
She has a powerful voice and a dynamic stage presence, and she connects with her audience. My favorite song was one she’s getting ready to record, and it resonated. The lyrics include the following: “Whatever doesn’t kill me better run, run, run …”
If you’ve been there (and I don’t mean the festival), you know what I’m talking about.
