To Lois Eisenberg (letters, July 16): With dual Canadian/U.S. citizenship would I be taxed at over a third of my income to support Canada’s socialist programs or would I have access to their pathetically anemic health care system as an international freeloader? I’m currently taxed at literally half of Canada’s tax rate (state and fed combined), can see my primary care physician tomorrow, and be referred for surgery the following week, which, by the way leads many Canadians to get medical attention here in the U.S. Nice try, Lois, but I’d rather stay here. But for those who really hate America, don’t let the door hit you on the way out, and please stay out.
